About

Lonsdale Fine Art Advisory offers full-service art consulting for private and corporate clients, guided by the expertise and vision of Leah Lonsdale “Lonnie” Barreras. With a discerning eye shaped by 20 years immersed in both the historical and contemporary art worlds, Lonnie provides a comprehensive art advisory experience—from understanding each client’s aesthetic and goals, to sourcing exceptional works of art, curating spaces and portfolios, creating virtual layouts and visualizations for proposed spaces, helping research provenance and the missing links in ones art collection, and managing every stage of acquisition. Her background bridges centuries and continents: after working at the Museum of Modern Art in New York providing expert private art and architectural tours to museum donors, Lonnie earned her Master’s Degree in Art History in Rome with a specialization in medieval manuscripts, 18th Century paintings, provenance research, art crime research, the Italian Language and Italian Art. She now lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, one of the largest art markets in the world.

Her expertise spans ancient to contemporary art across Europe and the Americas, combining scholarly knowledge with an intuitive sensibility. A lifelong passion for art runs deep in her lineage as the great-great granddaughter of Frederick A. Bosley, the late Director of the Boston School of Fine Art and a painter of the celebrated Boston School tradition studying under Edmund C. Tarbell. Honoring this artistic heritage, Leah founded Lonsdale Fine Art Advisory to carry her family’s legacy into the present—bridging the history of art with its living future. Her work reflects a rare ability to read her clients’ tastes and aspirations, providing elegant, informed, and personal guidance that connects collectors and corporations alike with artworks that enrich and elevate their spaces.
